Submission Guidelines
These guidelines apply to all paper submissions to the AMA Global Marketing SIG Annual Conference. Please read carefully before submitting your work through the EasyChair conference management system.
Submission Types
Competitive Sessions
Two types of submissions are accepted for competitive sessions:
- Full Paper Submissions — complete manuscripts of no more than 40 double-spaced pages, inclusive of all materials (abstract, text, footnotes, references, tables, figures, and appendices).
- Extended Abstracts — shorter submissions of maximum 10 double-spaced pages, focusing on projects that are sufficiently advanced. Should clearly articulate the research question, theoretical contribution, methodology, and expected findings.
Note: Submitting a manuscript as a competitive paper does not guarantee placement in a competitive session. The best papers in each track will be placed in competitive sessions, while other accepted papers may be placed in interactive sessions due to space considerations.
Interactive Sessions
Shorter manuscripts or work-in-progress pieces that could benefit from informal feedback are appropriate for interactive sessions. These are held in poster-style format, and submissions should be extended abstracts of no more than 10 double-spaced pages.
Special Session Proposals
Special session proposals should include a short introduction framing the session theme and its relevance to international marketing, three to four extended abstracts, a list of participants with their institutional affiliations, and contact information for the session organizer(s). Proposals are assessed based on scholarly contribution, thematic coherence, and potential to generate interest and discussion.

Submission Rules
- Single track submission — each paper may only be submitted to one track. Select the track that best fits your research topic.
- Original work — submitted papers must not have been published or accepted for publication elsewhere.
- Concurrent journal submissions — papers under review at journals may be submitted, provided they do not appear in print or online before the conference.
- Post-submission changes — substantive changes to title, abstract, authorship, or content are not permitted after the deadline. Minor corrections are allowed during the camera-ready phase.
- Presentation requirement — at least one author of each accepted paper must register and attend to present. Papers without a registered presenting author may be withdrawn.
Tip: Submit well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues. After uploading, download and review your submission to verify formatting, and retain your EasyChair submission ID for future correspondence. If you encounter technical difficulties, contact the track chairs or program chairs promptly.
Review Process
All competitive manuscript submissions undergo blind review. Submissions are evaluated based on:
- Relevance to the international marketing community
- Contribution to research, teaching, and/or practice
- Conceptual and analytical rigor
- Appropriateness of methodology
- Innovativeness of approach or findings
- Significance and clarity of conclusions
